Abstract:With the aging of the world population, the mortality rate of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is increasing year by year, and the prevention and treatment of AD is extremely urgent. Autophagy has become a hotspot of medical research in recent years, and more and more studies have shown that autophagy has made great progress in the prevention and treatment of AD. At the same time, researchers have found that traditional Chinese medicine can delay the progression of AD by regulating autophagy. Traditional Chinese medicine monomer dendrobium nobile lindl alkaloid, crocetin, curcumin, and geniposide, and traditional Chinese medicine compound Fuzheng Quxie Prescription, Tiaoxin Prescription, and Tiantai No.1 have the effect of activating autophagy and interfering with AD, while traditional Chinese medicine monomer Icariin Ⅱ, acorus Tatarinowii Volatile Oil combined with total ginsenoside, flavone monomer of jujube seed, resveratrol, and modified Dioscorea Pill in traditional Chinese medicine can inhibit autophagy interfere with AD. More and more attention has been paid to the study of monomer and compound of traditional Chinese medicine. This article reviews the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine regulating autophagy in the prevention and treatment of AD, hoping to provide beneficial reference for traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of AD.
