Abstract：The incidence of elderly gynecomastia is on the rise. If not treated in time, it may develop into male breast cancer. Through the observation of clinical records, Professor Yin Kejing summes up that the pathogenesis of the disease is based on deficiency of root cause and excess of manifestation. The deficiency of root cause is lack of kidney essence, and excess of manifestation is mainly phlegm and blood stasis. Combined with the pathological basis of phlegm and blood stasis deficiency in the elderly, he establishs the method of Zishen Huatan Method. The treatment emphasizes on nourishing kidney essence, removing phlegm and blood stasis mainly, Semen Cuscutae, Herba Epimedii, Radix Morindae Officinalis, etc. are most used to tonifying kidney yang, unprocessed Radix Rehmanniae Recens, Rhizoma Polygonati, etc. are most used to tonifying kidney yin, Rhizoma Alismatis, Semen Sinapis Albae, Salvia chinensia Benth, etc. are most used to remove phlegm and blood stasis, manifestation and root cause are treated simultaneously, clinical effect is remarkable, which is worthy of promotion.
