Abstract:Objective To explore the influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with thyroid carcinoma (TC) based on structural equation model. Methods A total of 120 postoperative patients with TC admitted to Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital from February 2020 to February 2021 were selected. The cancer fatigue scale (CFS) was used to evaluate the level of cancer-related fatigue in all patients at one month after surgery. Baseline data questionnaire was designed and the differences in CFS scores of patients with different baseline characteristics were compared, and the influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with TC were analyzed. Results A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed in this study, and 120 were successfully recovered with a successful recovery rate of 100%. The CFS score of 120 postoperative patients with TC was (28.61±14.53) points. The CFS score of high school or technical secondary school and above patients was higher than that of middle school and below patients, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The CFS scores of self-efficacy, social support, family function, and anxiety of 120 postoperative patients with TC were (81.17±26.42), (52.35±16.14), (150.33±44.23), and (61.20±18.75) points, respectively. Multiple linear regression results showed that self-efficacy (X1), social support (X2), family function (X3), anxiety (X4), and education level (X5) were the influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with TC. The equation was Y= 37.340-0.117X1-0.258X2+0.107X3+0.046X4+0.476X5 (F = 7 082.316, R2 = 0.997, adjusted R2 = 0.997, P < 0.05). The level model of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with TC was established, the results showed that the total effects of self-efficacy, social support, family function, anxiety, and education level on cancer-related fatigue of postoperative patients with TC were -0.049, -0.135, 0.061, 0.015, and 0.198, respectively. The goodness of fit of the model was in line with the reference standard, and the fit of the model was good with the data (P < 0.05). Conclusion The level of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with TC is affected by self-efficacy, social support, family function, anxiety, education level, and other factors, which should be paid attention to and targeted intervention should be given in clinical practice.
