Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of Xiegan Liangxue Jiedu Decoction in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome. Methods A total of 80 patients with psoriasis vulgaris treated in Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to March 2021 were selected and divided into study group (40 cases, Xiegan Liangxue Jiedu Decoction combined with Caspotriol Ointment) and control group (40 cases, Compound Qingdai Capsules combined with Caspotriol Ointment) according to the random number table method. The treatment period of both groups was eight weeks. The efficacy of the two groups was compared. The psoriasis area and severity index (PASI), traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, and serum interleukin (IL) -17, IL-22, and IL-23 were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was recorded in the two groups. Results The efficacy of the study group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, PASI, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, and serum levels of IL-17, IL-22, and IL-23 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups during treatment. Conclusion Xiegan Liangxue Jiedu Decoction has significant effect in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome, which can effectively improve the symptoms and reduce the levels of IL-17, IL-22, and IL-23 in patients.
