Abstract:Objective To understand the current situation of integrated medicine research in China, and to explore the research hotspot and development trend of holistic integrative medicine research in China. Methods With “integrative medicine” as the main topic or key word, the literatures related to integrative medicine were searched in CNKI, Wanfang Data, and VIP from the inception to December 2019. The literatures related to integrative medicine were statistically analyzed in terms of year, journal, region, author, institution, department distribution, and fund support. Results The 291 literatures included in this study were published in 137 journals, involving 223 authors from 187 research institutions in 32 provinces, autonomous regions, centrally administered municipalities, and special administrative regions in China. The author with the largest number of publications was Fan Daiming, the province with the largest number was Shaanxi Province, and the institution with the largest number was Xijing Digestive Disease Hospital of Fourth Military Medical University. A total of 104 literatures were supported by provincial and ministerial funds. Conclusion In recent years, the research of integrative medicine in China has developed rapidly and its geographical distribution is relatively concentrated. However, the overall number of publications is small and the research institutions are relatively scattered, which still has broad space for development.
