Abstract:Objective To understand the current status of rumination, post-traumatic growth, and quality of life in patients with ischemic stroke, and to explore the correlation between the three. Methods Convenience sampling method was used to select 281 ischemic stroke patients admitted to Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May to December 2020 as the research subjects. General information questionnaire, Chinese version of event related rumination inventory (C-ERRI), Chinese post-traumatic growth inventory (C-PTGI), and quality of life instruments for chronic disease-stroke (QLICD-ST V2.0) were used to investigate the current situation. Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation among them. Results A total of 292 questionnaires were distributed, and 281 questionnaires were recovered for statistical analysis, with an effective recovery rate of 96%. The scores of rumination, post-traumatic growth and quality of life in patients with ischemic stroke were (30.32±7.08), (51.21±15.33) points, and (54.78±17.18) points, respectively. The quality of life of patients with ischemic stroke was positively correlated with rumination and post-traumatic growth (r > 0, P < 0.05); it was negatively correlated with invasive rumination (r < 0, P < 0.05). Conclusion The rumination and post-traumatic growth of patients with ischemic stroke are at a moderate level, and the quality of life is at a moderately low level. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on improving the post-traumatic growth level of patients and guide their purposeful contemplation, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the quality of life of patients.
