Abstract:After continuous improvement and development in the past five years from 2013 to 2018, the standardized training system for resident physicians has matured, and various teaching methods including problem-based learning (PBL) have also been continuously developed. In view of the shortcomings of the PBL model in the clinical teaching of the standardization training for resident residents in department of gastrointestinal surgery, this research group introduced the standardized patient (SP) teaching method to form a PBL-SP integrated teaching model and achieved good results. This paper summarizes the relevant experiences of specific implementation from the necessity of SP introduction, the reasons for the SP to improve the teaching effect and the choice and training points of SP, for reference.
