Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of targeted nursing based on target management theory on the pulmonary function, compliance behavior, and prognosis of children with bronchial pneumonia. Methods A total of 118 children with bronchial pneumonia who were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Military Medical University of Chinese People’s Liberation Army from July 2019 to June 2020 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 59 cases in each group. The control group received routine targeted nursing, while the observation group received targeted nursing based on target management theory. The improvement of clinical symptoms, lung function, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results The time required for the disappearance of lung rales, fever, cough, and breathlessness in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After nursing, the levels of vital capacity (VC), forced vital capcacity (FVC), and forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) in the two groups were higher than those before nursing, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After nursing, the levels of VC, FVC, FEV1, and peak expiratory flow in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Targeted nursing based on target management theory can improve the symptoms and lung function of children with bronchial pneumonia, and the recurrence rate is low, which is worthy of clinical application.
