Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Tanreqing Injection on the treatment of stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP) and its effect on bacterial clearance. Methods A total of 84 SAP patients admitted to Nanjing Tongren Hospital, Southeast University School of Medicine from July 2018 to April 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Cefoperazone / Sulbactam, the observation group was treated with Tanreqing Injection on the basis of the control group. Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, clinical efficacy, bacterial clearance, serum inflammatory factor level (tumor necrosis factor-α [TNF-α], interleukin-6 [IL-6] and C-reaction protein [CRP]) and the occurrence of adverse drug reactions were evaluated after one week of treatment. Results After one week of treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total clearance rate of pathogens in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After one week of treatment, the levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and CRP in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of Tanreqing Injection combined with Cefoperazone / Sulbactam for SAP patients can effectively improve the clinical treatment effect of patients, reduce traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, increase pathogen clearance, reduce inflammation, and have good safety.
