Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of batroxobin combined with citicoline sodium in the treatment of senile sudden deafness. Methods A total of 92 elderly patients with sudden deafness who were admitted to Jiangsu Shengze Hospital, Nanjing Medical University from July 2018 to July 2020 were selected and divided into combination group and control group according to random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with citicoline sodium, while the combined group was treated with batroxobin combined with citicoline sodium. The disappearance time of clinical symptoms, clinical efficacy, coagulation function, microcirculation, and adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the disappearance time of vertigo and tinnitus between the two groups (P > 0.05); the disappearance time of ear fullness and hearing recovery time in the combined group were shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The clinical efficacy of the combination group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the prothrombin time and thrombin time of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, while the combined group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the levels of fibrinogen in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, while the combined group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The levels of endothelin in the two groups were lower than before treatment, while the combination group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the levels of nitric oxide in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, while the combined group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Batroxobin combined with citicoline sodium for the treatment of senile sudden deafness can improve clinical symptoms, the effect is exact, and it can improve coagulation function and microcirculation index, and it is safe and reliable.
