Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of Bushen Tongbi Decoction on lumbar disc herniation. Methods Eighty patients with lumbar disc herniation treated in Shijiazhuang People’s Hospital from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Diclofenac Sodium Double Release Enteric Coated Capsules, the observation group was treated with oral Bushen Tongbi Decoction on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 21 days. The clinical efficacy and the changes of dysfunction, pain score, and inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The curative effect of observation group was better than control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the visual analogue scales and Oswestry disability index scores in both groups were lower than those before the treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Japanese orthopaedic association evaluation scores of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of hypersensitive C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α in two groups were lower than those before the treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Bushen Tongbi Decoction can effectively improve the clinical pain and dysfunction of lumbar disc herniation, and can effectively reduce the inflammation of the body, and it is werthy of clinical value.
