Abstract：Objective To explore the nursing effect of Ziwu Liuzhu theory applied to wax in cold-damp lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods A total of 200 patients with cold-damp LDH who were treated in the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Bozhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected, and the patients were divided into control group (100 cases) and experimental group (100 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing measures, while the experimental group was given Meridian Liuzhu wax therapy on the basis of the control group, once a day, 10 d as a course of treatment, a total of one courses of treatment. Results After nursing, the scores of flexion-extension activity, lateral flexion activity, and rotation activity in the two groups were higher than those before nursing, while those of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After nursing, the physiological function, health status, pain intensity, self-care ability, and social function of the two groups were higher than those before nursing, while except for pain intensity, the quality of life scores in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The application of the theory of Ziwu Liuzhu to wax therapy in nursing patients with cold-damp LDH can effectively improve the pain intensity of the body and improve the quality of life, which is of great significance for patients to promote recovery and ensure the curative effect.
