Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of dietary management guidance combined with isometric resistance exercise in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods A total of 100 patients with GDM who were treated in Chenzhou First People’s Hospital from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected. The experiment was blinded and they were divided into control group (50 cases) and observation group (50 cases) according to lottery. The control group received routine intervention + diet management guidance, while the observation group received routine intervention + diet management guidance + isometric resistance exercise training. Before the intervention and two months after the intervention, blood glucose indexes, pregnancy outcomes, and neonatal outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results Two months after the intervention, the glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting blood glucose, and 2 h postprandial blood glucose in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, while those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Diet management guidance combined with isometric resistance exercise for GDM patients can effectively control blood sugar, improve pregnancy outcomes and neonatal outcomes.
