[Abstract] At each stage of science development, there are overlapping of different cognitive methods. The vagueness of terminology leads to the limitation of cognition. The separate research fields have their own emphasis and lead to the tilt of evaluation. Human beings often respond to the scientific problems of traditional Chinese medicine based on the value, but ignored the medical culture. There is a philosophical dialectic between “comparative state” and double-blind testing, neither of which is invulnerable. The defenders themselves are also factors that create prejudice in traditional Chinese medicine. The education system of traditional Chinese medicine that has never kept pace with the times has delayed its scientific modernization. Traditional Chinese medicine was once a science because it conformed to the cognition and interpretation of science at that time, and it stayes in the pre-scientific era because of the contemporary definition of science.
