Abstract：With the continuous reform of the medical and health system, “zero-markup drug” has become an important measure to change the “drug supported medical” in public hospitals, and has achieved remarkable results, meanwhile, it has a great impact on the balance of revenue and expenses of public hospitals, the quality and technical level of medical services, and so on. This paper further reveals the implementation status, significance and problems existing in the operation of “zero-markup drug” in public hospitals, and puts forward countermeasures from the perspectives of government and public hospitals respectively, hoping to provide suggestions and references for government departments to further formulate and promote relevant medical reform policies, to perfect the new mechanism of public hospitals, and to ensure the effective implementation of the “zero-markup drug” policy, so as to achieve better social and economic benefits.
