Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of Qingre Jiedu Prescription adjunctive therapyc to refractory mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP) with syndrome of phlegm and heat blocking the lung. Methods A total of 60 children diagnosed with RMPP in the Department of Pneumology, Children’s Hospital of Hebei Province from November 2019 to February 2021 were selected and they were divided into control group and treatment group according to random number table method, with 30 children in each group. The control group was treated with Azithromycin, Glucocorticoid and flexible tracheoscopic intervention, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Qingrejiedu Prescription for seven days. Fever reduction, cough relief and pulmonary breath sound recovery time were recorded in the two groups, and white blood cell (WBC), C-reactive protein (CRP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels in blood and the changes of MP-RNA in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) before and after treatment were detected. Results The fever reduction, cough relief and pulmonary breath sound recovery time in the treatment group was shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in WBC, CRP, and LDH between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, WBC, CRP, and LDH in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the number of patients with low bacterial count and sterility in both groups was higher than before treatment, and the number of patients in treatment group was higher than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Qingre Jiedu Prescription has a significant therapeutic effect on RMPP in children, which can reduce the inflammatory index and the amount of MP-RNA bacteria in BALF.
