Exploration on the medication rule of Professor Zhang Farong in the treatment of chronic renal failure based on data mining

Abstract:Objective To explore Professor Zhang Farong’s medication rule in the treatment of chronic renal failure by using data mining method, and to provide reference for the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine of chronic renal failure. Methods The case information of 160 patients with chronic renal failure treated by Professor Zhang Farong in Shandong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to June 2021 was collected. Excel, IBM SPSS Modeler 25.0, and Cytoscape were used to perform frequency statistics, cluster analysis, and complex network analysis on the case information. Results A total of 334 prescriptions were involved, 159 drugs were included. The top three in frequency of four nature of drugs were flat, warm, and cold drugs. The top three drugs in the frequency of five flavors were sweet, bitter, and pungent. The top three meridian frequency were liver, spleen, and kidney meridians. The top four drug pairs with the highest support: Astragali Radix-Odonopsis Radix; Dioscoreae Rhizoma-Euryales Semen; Astragali Radix-Odonopsis Radix, Eucommiae Cortex; Snow In June-Rhei Radix Et Rhizoma. Two drug combinations were obtained by drug cluster analysis. Conclusion In the treatment of chronic renal failure, Professor Zhang Farong takes tonifying spleen and kidney, nourishing liver and kidney, removing blood stasis and removing turbidity as the main treatment methods, takes into account deficiency and excess, the effect is very good.
