Abstract:Objective To analyze the relevance of the results of the circulating tumor cells (CTC) detection to the clini pathological features and curative effect of the patients. Methods A total of 55 patients with different cancer types of treated first from January 2017 to December 2018 in Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University were selected, the CTC detection device based on microfluidic chip was used to detect CTC in peripheral blood of clinical tumor patients. The correlation between CTC detection rate and age of onset, gender, degree of tumor differentiation, clinical stage of tumor, different tumor types and tumor metastasis of patients was analyzed. Kappa method was used to analyze the consistency between the number changes before and after CTC treatment and the evaluation of imaging efficacy. Results Among the 55 patients with malignant tumor, 29 cases were positive for CTC, and the detection rate was 52.73%. It was found that the detection rate was correlated with the degree of tumor differentiation, tumor stage and metastasis (P < 0.05), but not correlated with the age of onset, gender and cancer type (P > 0.05). Consistency analysis showed that, the changes of CTC detected in the same patients before and after treatment were consistent with the evaluation results of clinical imaging examination (P > 0.05). Conclusion Peripheral blood CTC detection by microfluidic chip contributes to tumor staging, tumor differentiation evaluation, metastasis identification, and the curative efficacy evaluation.
