Abstract：Objective To make a visual analysis of the method of tonifying kidney in the treatment of dementia based on CiteSpace. Methods Literatures related to the method of tonifying kidney in the treatment of dementia from the self-built database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure to October 1, 2021 were searched, Citespace software was used to make visual analysis on the authors, institutions, and keywords. Results Ni Jingnian from Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine had the highest number of papers, and the authors in this field had formed multiple research teams; the affiliated institutions were mainly traditional Chinese medicine universities and their affiliated hospitals, and there was almost no connection between different institutions; the high-frequency key words include dementia, clinical research, tonifying kidney, animal model, traditional Chinese medicine, etc., the research hotspots in this field mainly focused on the mechanism research and clinical research of dementia. Conclusion Research hotspots mainly focus on drug action mechanism, clinical research, etc., oxidative stress, cognitive function, and medical record research are the current research trends, and there are few contacts between research institutions.
