Abstract：Professor Sun Liyun believes that the key to the pathogenesis of acne of tuberous cyst type is phlegm and stasis obstructing the internal. aeipathia causes the formation of phlegm turbidity and blood stasis, blocking the veins and channels, treatment should be based on resolving phlegm and resolving stasis, cooperates with the methods of clearing heat, regulating qi, draining pus, softening hardness, etc, adding and subtracting with the symptoms, and the prescription should be changed from Neixiao Lianqiao Pills, thus gaining curative effect in clinical practice. This article discusses etiological factors and pathogenesis, traditional Chinese medicine treatment principle, syndrome differentiation and treatment with acne, summarizes Professor Sun Liyun’s academic thoughts in the treatment of acne with the addition and subtraction of Neixiao Lianqiao Pills, enriches the clinical treatment ideas of acne.
