Treatment of Taiyang disease in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases from the perspective of body fluid#br#

Abstract:In order to explore the treatment of body fluid in Taiyang disease of Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases, through combing the sweating method, the deteriorated cases of missweating, misvomit, and misdiarrhea in Taiyang disease in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases, the records of fluid theory in ancient books and later physicians, on the law of syndrome and treatment of fluid in Taiyang disease, it is concluded that fluid is the carrier of the function embodiment of nutrient qi and defensive qi. The hyperactivity of defensive qi can accumulate the body fluid on the body surface, which is the basic condition for the application of sweating method, and hinders the body fluid generation, distribution, and excretion could cause the production of water-fluid. According to the different symptoms, body fluid of repletion, deficiency, formation barriers, transport barriers, and excretion barriers, and so on were discussed and treated, in order to adopt the treatment of promoting sweating to release the external, regulating and harmonizing the nutrient and defense, fortifying the spleen and unblocking yang to resolve dampness, and so on, and from the perspective of body fluid in Taiyang disease of Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases, it can be connected with treatment based on disease differentiation of Taiyang diseases and their changes of Zhang Zhongjing, which has certain significance for improving clinical treatment based on disease differentiation.
