Abstract:Objective To analyse the clinical characteristics and prognosis of splenic tumor. Methods From January 2003 to June 2017, in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, the clinical data of 64 patients diagnosed splenic tumor were etrospectively analyzed and followed-up, the clinical characteristics, diagnose, therapy and prognosis were analyzed. Results Among 64 splenic tumors cases, 53 cases were benign tumors and 11 cases were malignant tumors. Malignant tumors contained 8 primary splenictumors cases and 3 metastatic splenic tumors cases. The benign tumors were given splenectomy, and malignant tumors were given splenectomy combined with adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Thirty-five cases benign tumors were followed up, 33 cases had a good recovery. Four cases with primary malignant tumors were followed up, the longest follow-up case treated with splenectomy and chemotherapy had been alive 7 years until December 2017. One case with splenic metastatic tumors were followed up, the patient had been alive 2 years after surgery. Conclusion The splenic tumor has a low incidence, pathology is complex, CT and B-mode ultrasound are important imaging measures to diagnose splenic tumor. The benign splenic tumors have a better prognosis, but malignant ones have a poor prognosis. The main treatment for splenic tumor is surgery. Earlier diagnosed, radical operation and chemotherapy are important measures for primary splenic malignant tumors.
