Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyze the sleep quality status and related influencing factors of the elderly in the military cadre sanitariums in Hefei area. Methods From January to March 2021, the stratified cluster sampling method was adopted, the general situation questionnaire and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scale were used to investigate the elderly over 80 years old in Anhui Military Region Hefei No.1 to No.5 Dry cadre sanitariums. Results A total of 230 questionnaires were distributed, 215 valid questionnaires were recovered, and the effective recovery rate was 93.48%. The incidence rate of sleep disorder in 215 elderly people was 57.21%. There were statistically significant differences in sleep quality among elderly people with different gender, marital status, habit of drinking milk before going to bed, frequent outdoor activities, body mass index, number of chronic diseases, history of hypertension, history of stroke, and history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (P < 0.05). No spouse (OR = 1.990, 95%CI: 1.097-3.613), history of hypertension (OR = 2.784, 95%CI: 1.428-5.431), history of stroke (OR = 5.545, 95%CI: 1.584-19.416), history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (OR = 3.725, 95%CI: 1.233-11.250) were risk factor for sleep disorders (P < 0.05); while the habit of drinking milk before going to bed (OR = 0.539, 95%CI: 0.295-0.984), regular participation in outdoor activities (OR = 0.502, 95%CI: 0.274-0.920) were protective factor for sleep disorders (P < 0.05). Conclusion The incidence of sleep disorders in the elderly in the military cadre sanitarium in Hefei area is high, and the occurrence of sleep disorders is significantly related to a variety of factors.
