Application effect of traditional Chinese medicine hot compress combined with acupoint massage in the treatment of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease with syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis#br#

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine hot compress combined with acupoint massage in the treatment of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) with syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis. Methods A total of 80 PID sequelae patients with syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis admitted to First People’s Hospital of Nantong City from May 2018 to October 2020 were selected, and they were divided into the observation group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given Western medicine combined with acupoint massage therapy, and the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine hot compress on the basis of the control group. After three courses of treatment, clinical efficacy, the changes of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes scores, signs integral, total integral, serum inflammatory factors, and hemorheology were compared between the two groups. Results During the follow-up, two patients in the observation group and fours patients in the control group were lost to follow-up. A total of 74 patients were included, 38 in the observation group and 36 in the control group. The effective rate of the observation group was better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The traditional Chinese medicine syndromes scores, signs integral, and total integral of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05), and those of the observation group were lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The serum interleukin-8 (IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor-α of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group were lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05); the IL-10 levels of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The high-cut whole blood viscosity, low-cut whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, and hematocrit of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were lower than control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese medicine hot compress and acupoint massage can improve the clinical symptoms of PID sequelae patients, improve treatment effect, which may be related to inhibit inflammation and regulate blood rheology.
