Abstract:Objective To explore the curative effect of low and medium frequency combined with massage therapy on postpartum lumbago. Methods A total of 80 patients with postpartum lumbago were selected as the research objects who visited the Department of Postpartum Health Care, Huaian Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Jiangsu Province from November 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional massage, the observation group was treated with low and medium frequency therapy on the basis of the control group. The two groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy, pain numerical rating scale (NRS) score, Roland-Morris dysfunction survey (RMDQ) score, abdominal and dorsal muscle endurance, lumbar mobility and postpartum depression degree. Results The total effective rate of observation group was better than that of control group (P < 0.05); the NRS and RMDQ scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and observation group were lower than control group (P < 0.05); the lumbar and dorsal muscle endurance time of the two groups after treatment were longer than those before treatment, and the observation group was longer than control group (P < 0.05); the anterior flexion angle, posterior extension angle, lateral flexion angle, and rotation angle of the two groups after treatment were larger than those before treatment, and the observation group were larger than the control group (P < 0.05); the scores of Edinburgh postpartum depression scale (EPDS) of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group. Conclusion Low and medium frequency combined with massage therapy can effectively improve the pain of patients with postpartum lumbago, increase the effective rate of treatment, improve the endurance of abdominal muscle, and reduce postpartum depression.
