Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of modified suspension intramuscular injection on the effect of Octreotide Acetate Microsphere injection, and to provide a reference for clinical medication. Methods A total of 79 patients from the Department of Neurosurgery, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences were selected as the research objects. They were divided into two groups by random number table method, a total of 39 cases in the traditional group (196 injections of Octreotide Acetate Microspheres) and a total of 40 cases in the modified group (201 injections of Octreotide Acetate Microspheres). The traditional group referred to the drug instructions and administerd according to the conventional method, while the modified group adopted the improved configuration method and injection procedure. The injection success rate, the patient’s skin induration and the occurrence of pain between the two groups were compared. Results The injection success rate and the incidence of induration in the modified group were lower than those in the traditional group, and the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01); there was no statistically significant difference in the pain degree scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion The modified suspension intramuscular injection method can effectively improve the injection effect of Octreotide Acetate Microspheres.
