Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of Mudan Granules combined with Thioctic Acid Injection in the treatment of diabetic foot. Methods A total of 98 patients with diabetic foot treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College from April 2019 to October 2020 were selected. The patients were divided into control group (treated with Thioctic Acid Injection) and experimental group (treated with Mudan Granules on the basis of control group) by random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The two groups were treated for 4 weeks. The curative effect, blood glucose index (glycosylated hemoglobin [HbA1c], fasting blood glucose [FBG], 2 h postprandial blood glucose [2hPG]), hemodynamic index of dorsalis pedis artery (vessel diameter, resistance index [RI], blood flow velocity, pulsatility index [PI]), inflammatory factor index (high sensitivity C-reactive protein [hs-CRP], interleukin-6 [IL-6], procalcitonin [PCT]) before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The clinical efficacy of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the levels of HbA1c, FBG, 2hPG, hs-CRP, IL-6, and PCT decreased compared with before treatment in both groups, and those in the experimental group were lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the vascular diameter, RI, blood flow velocity, and PI increased compared with before treatment in both groups, and those in the experimental group were higher than the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion It is effective to treat diabetic foot with Mudan Granules and Thioctic Acid Injection. It can effectively control blood sugar, improve inflammatory reaction and hemodynamics of dorsal artery of foot, and is safe and reliable.
