Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy on nerve, motor function and quality of life in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods A total of 90 patients with hemiplegia after stroke treated in Maanshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anhui Province from February 2018 to February 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into control group and combined group according to random number table method, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation therapy and the combined group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group. After 30 days of treatment, the clinical efficacy, compopsites spasticity scale (CSS) score, Fugl-Meyer motor function (FMA) score, activity of daily living scale (ADL) score, hand function, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of combined group was significantly higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). CSS score after treatment was significantly lower than before treatment, FMA and ADL scores were significantly higher than before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the CSS score of the combined group was significantly lower than that of the control group, while FMA and ADL scores were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The maximum extension angle, maximum buckling angle and active range of motion in combined group were significantly higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of blood stasis syndrome and qi deficiency syndrome in two groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and the combined group was significantly lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy can significantly improve nerve, motor function and quality of life in patients with hemiplegia after stroke, which is worth promoting.
