Abstract:The name of head sore in ancient books has a complicated evolution. With head sore as the key word, we systematically sort out it from ancient traditional Chinese medicine literatures, including the interpretation of definition, etiology and pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, differential diagnosis, treatment, prevention and outcome. The disease is generally divided into white ringworm and fat sore. It is a superficial fungal skin disease that occurs on the scalp, mostly occurs in children and is contagious. As for treatment, it is suitable for clearing heat and removing dampness, killing insects and relieving itching. It is characterized by external treatment and there are many types of external preparations. After illness, it is necessary to prevent infection and get early diagnose and treat.
