Discussion on Yanghuo Sanqi Fang in the treatment of impotence based on the principles and rules for medication of “brain-heart-kidney-essence chamber” axis#br#

Abstract：The cause of impotence is related to yang deficiency, presence endogenous weakness, and cold, and blood stasis stagnating collaterals. The syndrome of kidney deficiency and blood stasis can be shown. On the basis of principles and rules for medication involved in “brain-heart-kidney-essence chamber” axis, Yanghuo Sanqi Fang treats this disease with its features of treating the whole and the part at the same time to achieve the purposes of tonifying yang in kidney and then being beneficial to the yang of whole body, and making the blood be smooth, so that it can be good for the entire body’s blood flowing. It also has advantages like supplementing without stagnation, warm but not dry, and so on. Thus, this paper discusses Chinese medicine mechanism of impotence in kidney deficiency and blood stasis, eliciting the important meaning about “brain-heart-kidney-essence chamber” axis’s principles and rules for medication. And then, based on the axis, we analyze the specific meaning and experience of Yanghuo Sanqi Fang and give an example for clinical references.
