Abstract:Sinoatrial node dysfunction and atrial fibrillation are common arrhythmias in clinic, and they often coexist and interact with each other. Cardiac fibrosis is a marker of a series of pathological conditions and a risk factor leading to cardiac dysfunction and poor prognosis. At present, many studies have shown that fibrosis is closely related to the occurrence and development of sinoatrial node dysfunction and atrial fibrillation. This paper reviews the pathogenesis and influencing factors of fibrosis in sinoatrial node dysfunction and atrial fibrillation, to understand the complex relationship between sinoatrial node disease and atrial fibrillation, and to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of sinoatrial node dysfunction and atrial fibrillation.
