Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of superior vena cava deformation index in volumetric therapy of liver transplantation and the effect on postoperative recovery. Methods A total of 60 liver transplantation patients from January 2016 to December 2017 in the Zhongshan People′s Hospital were collected as the study subjects, and they were divided into study group (n = 30) and routine group (n = 30) according to the principles of randomness and control. The volumetric treatment was monitored by the value of superior vena cava deformation index in the study group, while that was monitored by routine methods such as the CVP, ABP, and Swan-Ganz floating catheters in routine group. The volume of operation and postoperative recovery were recorded. Results The total amount of intraoperative fluid infusion, intraoperative colloid fluid volume, intraoperative lens fluid volume in the study group were less than those in the conventional group, the defecation time, degassing time, fluid intake time and length of stay shorter were than those in the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.01). After surgery, the intra-abdominal pressures increased significantly compared with those before surgery in the two groups, and the study group was lower than that in the routine group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 6.67%, lower than that in routine group (16.67%), the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of superior vena cava deformation index can better guide the volumetric treatment of liver transplantation. The total amount of intraoperative fluid infusion and postoperative complications are reduced. Postoperative deflation and defecation, rapid recovery of eating are promoted.
