Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on cancer-related fatigue (CRF) and quality of life in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods A total of 120 breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy admitted to Huaian First People’s Hospital of Jiangsu Province from August 2018 to August 2019 were selected as study subjects, they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing mode, and the observation group was given aerobic exercise on the basis of the control group. Quality of life, CRF before and after nursing, and total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results After nursing, the scores of health feeling, body feeling, social integration, and sleep quality of two groups were higher than those before nursing, and observation group was higher than control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After nursing, the scores of behavior and severity, emotion, sensation, cognition and emotion in both groups were lower than those before nursing, and which of observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Under the intervention of aerobic exercise, patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy can alleviate CRF, reduce adverse reactions, and gradually restore the quality of life, which is worthy of extensive clinical promotion and application.
