Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy on chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and its impact on related inflammatory factors and hemorheology. Methods Sixty-two patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease treated in Urumqi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were randomly divided into control group (antibiotic intravenous drip) and experimental group (antibiotic combined with traditional Chinese medicine decoction) by random number table, with 31 cases in each group. The TCM syndrome effect of the two groups was compared, and the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-2 (IL-2) and the hemorheology changes of the two groups before and after treatment were observed. Results After treatment, the TCM syndrome effect in the experimental group was better than that in the control group (P < 0.05); the levels of whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, haematocrit and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with before treatment (P < 0.05), and the experimental group was significantly lower than those of control group (P < 0.05); the levels of TNF-α, hs-CRP and IL-2 of two groups were significantly improved compared with before treatment (P < 0.05), and the improvement of the experimental group was significantly better than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine decoction combined with antibiotic in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is significant, which can effectively alleviate the inflammatory reactions and improve the indexes of hemorheology, and it has high clinical application value.
