Evaluation on the effect of the new management mode of inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine based on SECI model

Abstract:Objective To explore and evaluate the effect of the new management mode for inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods From January 2014 to January 2017, the inheritance persons of the first session in Fangshan Traditional Medical Hospital of Beijing were selected as the research objects. The SECI knowledge transformation model was introduced into the management of inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine. Through the way of learning with the teacher, clinical practice, learning together, participation in training, reading classics together, writing articles, setting up professional periodicals, undertaking research projects, revising management measures, the socialization, externalization, integration and internalization of the implicit knowledge of Chinese medicine were promoted. Before and after the inheritance, a self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on the tutors and students. Results Total 12 times of hospital training and 17 times of out of hospital training were organized, 1 item of municipal continuing medical education projects was completed. Tutors and students got excellent results in the hospital and national competition of Treatise on Febrile Diseases. 4 issues of professional periodicals and 1 academic compilation were published. 16 items of scientific research were declared. Work programs of inheritance were revised. Management system of inheritance was improved. 21 times of supervision and assessment were completed. The inheritance of district level was developed based on the inheritance of hospital level. Survey results showed that the professional ability of students was significant enhanced before and after inheritance (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the basic knowledge, clinical ability, scientific research level of students (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in the teaching level, clinical level and scientific research level of tutors (P > 0.05). Conclusion It is feasible to introduce SECI model into the management of inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine, which can improve teaching effect, promote the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine knowledge, accelerate the cultivation of talents of Chinese medicine.
