Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of photon rejuvenation technology combined with Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid in the treatment of patients with facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis (FCAD). Methods Ninety-six cases of patients diagnosed as FCAD in Department of Dermatology, Gaozhou People's Hospital from June 2015 to May 2017 were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 32 patients in each group. The Cortex Phellodendri group was treated with Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid combined with Tacrolimus Ointment. The photon group was treated with Tacrolimus Ointment combined with photon rejuvenation technology. The combination group was treated with photon rejuvenation technology combined with tacrolimus ointment and Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid. The course of treatment was 8 weeks. Skin barrier function indices [transepidermal water loss (TEWL), the moisture and oil contents of skin], the therapeutic effect after treatment and the scores of dermatology life quality index (DLQI) before and after treatment were compared among the 3 groups. The therapeutic effects after treatment of the 3 groups were compared. The adverse reactions during treatment and relapse situation after treatment with a 8-week follow-up were recorded and compared. Results There were significant differences in the values of skin barrier function indices, the scores of DLQI and the therapeutic effect after treatment among the 3 groups (P < 0.05). After treatment, TEWL score of the combination group was lower than the photon group and Cortex Phellodendri group, while the photon group was lower than the Cortex Phellodendri group (P < 0.05). Moisture and oil contents of skin, the therapeutic effect distribution after treatment of the combination group were higher than the photon group and Cortex Phellodendri group, while the photon group was higher than the Cortex Phellodendri group, while the scores of DLQI of the combination group were lower than the photon group and Cortex Phellodendri group, which of photon group were lower than those of Cortex Phellodendri group (P < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences of adverse reactions among three groups (P > 0.05). There was no recurrence situation in a 8-week follow-up after treatment among three groups. Conclusion The photon rejuvenation technology combined with Tacrolimus Ointment and Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid in the treatment of FCAD has obvious effect, which can significantly improve the skin barrier function and the quality of life. The treatment is safe and worth of clinical promotion.
