Abstract:Chronic heart failure combined with depression is a common dual heart disease in clinical practice, and the treatment effect of traditional Chinese medicine is significant. “Yang qi, essence nourishes the spirit, and gentleness nourishes the tendons” is from Suwen·Shengqi Tongtian Lun. Based on the theory, Professor Zhao Haibin thinks that the core pathogenesis of chronic heart failure combined with depression is root deficiency empty and manifestation excess. “Insufficient heart yang” is the root and initial factor of the disease. “Blood stasis”, “retained fluid”, and “depression” are the symptoms and key pathological factors. In terms of treatment, Professor Zhao Haibin advocates “warming yang and benefiting the heart” to treat its root cause, “removing blood stasis and promoting water circulation, nourishing the heart and calming the mind” to heal its manifestation, and the clinical application of Linggui Zhugan Shuangxin Fang has a good therapeutic effect.
