Abstract：Objective To quantitatively and visually analyze literatures related to traditional Chinese medicine treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, and explore the research hotspot and development trend in this field. Methods The relevant literatures on trigeminal neuralgia in the field of traditional Chinese medicine collected from CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang Data from January 2002 to May 2022 were searched as the research object, and the trend of publication, the cooperation of authors, the co-occurrence of keywords, clustering, and emergent situation were analyzed respectively, and the corresponding knowledge graph was drawn. Results A total of 991 literatures were included, and the annual publication volume in this field showed a curve rising trend. There were a total of 18 core authors with more than three literatures, and the authors with the most papers were Fang Jianqiao and Li Yaxue. The keywords with high frequency included Carbamazepine, electro-acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, and so on, and found 12 keyword clusters and 9 emergent keywords. Conclusion The Atlas intuitively shows that the main research directions are traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion, xiàguān point, warming needle moxibustion, acupuncture, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment will become the future research trend in this field.
