Research progress on possible mechanism of exercise intervention in chronic constipation based on intestinal flora

Abstract:The pathogenesis of chronic constipation (CC) is still not yet clearly established, and with the deepening of intestinal microecology research, the imbalance of intestinal flora and its metabolites is considered to be the potential predisposing factor of CC. Exercise as one of the basic measures of CC treatment, it can participate in metabolism, anti-inflammatory, oxidative stress, and other processes by regulating the composition of intestinal microorganisms, it is suggested that there is some internal relationship between intestinal flora, exercise, and CC. This paper summarizes and reviews the potential mechanism of exercise to improve CC based on intestinal flora, in order to provide new ideas for further exploration of exercise, prevention and treatment in CC.
