Application effect of interactive education system nursing in self-management of adolescent patients with depression

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of interactive education system nursing in self-management of adolescent patients with depression. Methods A total of 106 adolescents with depression in the Fourth People’s Hospital of Wuhu, Anhui Province from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects, according to random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 53 cases in each group. The control group took routine nursing, and the observation group added interactive education system nursing on the basis of the control group. The scores of anxiety, depression, self-efficacy scale, and medical coping style were compared between the two groups before intervention and one month after nursing. Results After nursing, the negative emotion scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and those of the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05); after nursing, the self-care ability scale scores were higher in both groups than those before intervention, and those of the observation group were higher than those the control group (P<0.05); the scores of help-seeking, rationalization and problem solving in the two groups were higher than those before nursing, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the scores of self-blame, fantasy, and withdrawal in the two groups were lower than those before nursing, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Interactive education system nursing for adolescents with depression can effectively reduce patients’ anxiety and depression, improve patients’ self-efficacy scores, and enhance patients’ courage to deal with the disease, which is worthy of reference and adoption by various departments.
