[Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of Baduanjin Phase Ⅰ cardiac rehabilitation exercise on the cardiopulmonary function and sleep quality of patients with acute myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Ninety patients with acute myocardial infarction after PCI who were admitted to the Suzhou Science and Technology City Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University and Wuhan Asian Heart Hospital from June 2020 to May 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and experimental group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was guided by routine exercises after the operation, and the experimental group was used Baduanjin stage Ⅰ cardiac rehabilitation exercises on the basis of the control group. Both groups continued to intervene for two weeks. The maximum metabolic equivalent (METmax), maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max), 6-minute walking distance (6MWT), and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) score were compared between two groups before and after the intervention. Complications of two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the METmax, VO2max, 6MWT of the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the experimental group were higher than the control group (P < 0.05); the PSQI scores of the two groups were lower than before intervention , and the PSQI score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Baduanjin Phase Ⅰ cardiac rehabilitation exercise can improve cardiopulmonary function, sleep quality and exercise tolerance in patients with acute myocardial infarction after PCI.
