Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation and residents’ needs of language services for community health education in Xi’an, and to put forward suggestions to provide reference for formulating community health education plans. Methods From September to November 2021, a simple random sampling method was used to conduct field observations of six community health service institutions in Xi’an. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 92 community residents, and 16 community residents and 10 medical staff were interviewed at the same time. Results A total of six community health service institutions were investigated on the spot, 92 questionnaires were distributed, and 86 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 93.48%. Community residents were generally satisfied with language services, but language media, language use, and language management were still insufficient. Conclusion The language needs of residents are diversified, and the language service measures and mechanisms for community health education need to be improved.
