Abstract:Objective To analyze clinical effect of exercise acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in treating increased muscle tension of upper limbs after stroke. Methods Eighty-two patients with increased muscle tension of upper limbs after stroke treated in Nanjing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Southeast University from March 2017 to March 2021 were selected and they were divided into routine group (rehabilitation training) and observation group (exercise acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training) according to random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. After three courses of treatment, total effective rate, Chinese medicine symptom score, upper limb motor function, activities of daily living, and adverse events were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of routine group (P < 0.05). After treatment, main symptom scores, secondary symptom scores, and total scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment, and observation group was lower than routine group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of Fugl-Meyer motor function scale in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and observation group was higher than routine group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of Barthel index scale in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and observation group was higher than routine group (P < 0.05). There were no significant adverse events in two groups. Conclusion Exercise acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of patients with increased muscle tension of upper limbs after stroke is helpful to reduce Chinese medicine symptoms, improve clinical efficacy, upper limb motor function, and activities of daily living, and has good safety.
