Abstract：As an important industry of Yunnan’s economic development, the traditional Chinese medicine industry plays an important role in the implementation of strategies such as ecological protection, poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. Scientific evaluation of the competitiveness of the traditional Chinese medicine industry is of great significance to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in various regions, consolidate the competitive advantages and formulate the future development strategy of the industry. However, how to analyze and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages and competitiveness of the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in domestic and provincial regions rich in traditional Chinese medicine resources is lack a corresponding structure and evaluation index system. In reference based on existing research results, this paper uses the diamond model analysis framework, the development of Wenshan Notoginseng Radix Et Rhizoma industry as the research object, from the production factors, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, enterprise organizations, opportunities, and government, six primary indexes of Wenshan Notoginseng Radix Et Rhizoma industry development is analyzed, combining with the field survey data, build 13 secondary indicators, 27 tertiary indicators, Thus, taking Wenshan Notoginseng Radix Et Rhizoma industry as an example, the evaluation index system of Yunnan traditional Chinese medicine industry competitiveness is constructed to provide decision-making basis for the development of Yunnan traditional Chinese medicine industry.
