Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of head-spine electroacupuncture combined with Huatan Tongfu Decoction on finger spasm after stroke. Methods A total of 180 patients with finger spasm after stroke treated in Department of General, Harbin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and they were divided into three groups according to random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. The electroacupuncture group was treated with head-spine electroacupuncture, the decoction group was treated with Huatan Tongfu Decoction, and the combined group was treated with head-spine electroacupuncture combined with Huatan Tongfu Decoction. The improvement of hand symptoms, dyskinesia and clinical effect were observed after 30 days of treatment. Results After treatment, the scores of finger spasm and hand nerve function defect in three groups were lower than before, and those in the combined group were lower than those in electroacupuncture group and decoction group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); after treatment, the score of hand function in the three groups was all higher than before, and that in the combined group was higher than in the electroacupuncture group and decoction group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the motor coordination ability score, sensory function score and total score in the three groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the combined group were higher than those in electroacupuncture group and decoction group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the clinical effect of combined group was better than electroacupuncture group and decoction group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of finger spasm after stroke, simultaneous treatment with head-spine electroacupuncture combined with Huatan Tongfu Decoction can effectively improve the total clinical effect.
