Abstract:The incidence of acute renal injury (AKI) is high and critical in clinic, clinically the early diagnosis of AKI based on serum creatinine and urine volume is delayed and insufficient. Clinically, biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity are needed to facilitate the early diagnosis of AKI, so that measures can be taken to reduce renal injury and protect renal function. Some novel biomarkers closely related to the pathogenesis of AKI are gradually being used for early identification, clinical monitoring and prognosis assessment of AKI. This article focuses on the biological functions, research status and application prospects of AKI-related biomarkers discovered in recent years, such as interleukin 24, liver-type fatty acid binding protein, chitinase 3-like protein 1, microRNA, PARK7, and CDH16.
