Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of timeliness incentive mode in pulmonary rehabilitation nursing of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) and respiratory failure. Methods A total of 91 AECOPD patients with respiratory failure admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, the Central Hospital of Wuhan Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, from January 2016 to January 2021 were prospectively selected as the research subjects, they were divided by a random number table method into control group with 45 cases and observation group with 46 cases. Both groups received routine treatment, the control group was given routine pulmonary rehabilitation nursing, and the observation group was given timeliness incentive mode on the basis of the control group. The compliance of pulmonary rehabilitation training of patients was evaluated before and one month after nursing, St. George’s respiratory questionnaire (SGRQ) was used to assess the respiratory status of the patients, Herth hope inventory scale (HHI) was used to evaluate the hope level of patients, pulmonary function indexes were detected, such as peak expiratory flow (PEF) and forced vital capacity (FVC). Results The pulmonary rehabilitation compliance of the observation group was better than that of the control group, with statistical significant difference (P < 0.05); the SGRQ scores of both groups one month after nursing were decreased than those before nursing, the HHI scores were increased than those before nursing, and the SGRQ score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the HHI score was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significant differences (P < 0.05); PEF and FVC of both groups one month after nursing were increased than those before nursing, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistical significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion Timeliness incentive mode can improve the compliance of pulmonary rehabilitation of AECOPD patients with respiratory failure, improve the hope level and respiratory status of patients, and promote the improvement of pulmonary function.
