Abstract:Objective To analyze the application value of hot medicinal compress therapy by traditional Chinese medicine combined with eight winds and eight pathogens stagnation acupuncture in patients with severe craniocerebral injury and limb dysfunction. Methods A total of 100 patients with stable severe craniocerebral injury with limb dysfunction admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from January to December 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group was treated with hot medicinal compress therapy by traditional Chinese medicine, and the observation group was treated with eight winds and eight pathogens stagnation acupuncture on the basis of the control group. The course of treatment was eight weeks. Muscle strength of upper and lower limbs, Holden walking function grade, functional independence measure, and 36-item short form health survey scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the scores of muscle strength of upper and lower limbs in the observation group were lower than that in the control group, and scores of Holden walking function grade, functional independence measure, and 36-item short form health survey were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion Hot medicinal compress therapy by traditional Chinese medicine combined with eight winds and eight pathogens stagnation acupuncture can effectively improve the limb function of patients with stable severe craniocerebral injury accompanied by limb dysfunction and improve their quality of life, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
