Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of diversified health education based on the all-media concept on the effect of respiratory function training for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Methods A total of 125 cases of elective cardiac surgery patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from May 2019 to August 2020 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into 64 cases in the treatment group and 61 cases in the control group. The control group was given regular health education, and the treatment group jointly applied diversified health education based on the omnimedia concept. The respiratory function training compliance behavior, lung function and complications of the two groups were compared. Results At discharge, the respiratory function training compliance behavior scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those of the same group at admission (P < 0.05). The observation group’s respiratory function training, active seeking help, respiratory function training precautions, and respiratory function training compliance behavior total scores were significantly higher in the control group (P < 0.05); at discharge, the forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) and maximum expiratory volume per minute (MVV) in the two groups were significantly lower than those in the same group at admission (P < 0.05). The FVC, FEV1, and MVV of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05); the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Diversified health education based on the concept of all-media is beneficial to improve the compliance behavior of respiratory function training in cardiac surgery patients, promote postoperative lung function recovery, and reduce the occurrence of complications such as atelectasis.
