Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of load breathing training combined with high-purity negative oxygen ions on lung function and rehabilitation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A total of 150 COPD patients were admitted to the Second People’s Hospital of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province from January 2021 to November 2022. According to the method of random number table, they were divided into control group and study group, with 75 cases in each group. The control group was given six weeks of loaded respiratory training, while the research group received an additional two weeks of high-purity negative oxygen ion therapy based on the treatment of the control group. The lung function, blood gas indices, respiratory muscle contractility, and rehabilitation indicators of both groups were observed and compared. Results After intervention, the forced vital capacity, maximum ventilation capacity, forced expiratory volume in one second, partial pressure of oxygen, oxygen saturation, maximum suction pressure, and other indicators of the two groups were higher than before intervention, and the study group were higher than the control group ( P<0.05). The 6 min walking distance was longer than that before intervention, and that of the study group was longer than that of the control group (P<0.05). The partial pressure of carbon dioxide, maximum expiratory pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test, and modified UK MRC respiratory difficulty index rating scale scores were lower than those before intervention, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion High purity negative oxygen ion combined with load breathing training for COPD patients can improve the pulmonary function, improve the strength of respiratory muscles, and promote the rapid recovery of patients.
